Marketing Manager
A Marketing Manager plans and executes marketing campaigns to promote games, building strategies to engage players and increase sales.
As a Marketing Manager, you’ll oversee the marketing strategy for a game, from pre-launch hype to post-release promotions. You’ll work with teams to develop promotional content, manage social media and influencer partnerships, and analyse the success of campaigns. You’ll also be responsible for managing budgets and timelines, ensuring that campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
Many Marketing Managers have degrees in marketing, business, or communications, and significant experience in running successful campaigns. Strong leadership and project management skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of the gaming industry.
For this role, you should be someone who loves creating strategies, analysing trends, and engaging with the gaming community. You’ll need to be creative but also data-driven, balancing innovative ideas with measurable results.
Your portfolio should include case studies of marketing campaigns you’ve led, highlighting the impact of your work on brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
