The Into Games 50 Awards (IG50)
Our annual awards celebrating the best-undiscovered games talent in the UK
The IG50 is an annual list of the 50 most employable new games talent in the UK published every July. Anyone can apply, with the only criteria being, that you are ready for a career in the sector (have a portfolio or relevant experience) and have never been employed in a games role previously.
You could be a games graduate, someone from another sector who wants to break in, or a bedroom game maker who wants to start working for a commercial studio - if you are ready for work but haven’t got your foot in the door yet, the IG50 is for you.
The awards are judged by various discipline-specific panels made up of sector professionals from UK studios and winners receive portfolio & CV reviews, headshots, free event tickets and ongoing career support. The categories are; Art, Audio; Design & Narrative; Community & Marketing; Production & Operations and; Programming & Tech.
Prospective employers are always on the lookout for things that will make a CV stand out and winning the IG50 is a real badge of honour and looks great on any application.
We recommend taking a look at the previous winners of the IG50 to look at the quality of their portfolios, CV’s and Linkedin profiles, all of which are good indicators for your own work and career journey. The award submissions start in March each year.
