Community and Marketing roles explained
Marketing Assistant
A Marketing Assistant supports the marketing team in promoting a game, handling tasks like social media posts, market research, and administrative duties.
As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll be responsible for helping with the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, coordinating events, managing social media accounts, and gathering data on the performance of marketing efforts. You’ll work closely with the marketing manager and other departments to ensure that campaigns run smoothly and effectively.
Many Marketing Assistants have degrees in marketing, communications, or business, but strong organisational skills, creativity, and a passion for games are also important. Experience in social media management, content creation, or data analysis will be valuable in this role.
For this role, you should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once. You’ll need good communication skills and a passion for helping games reach their audience.
Your portfolio or CV should include examples of marketing campaigns or social media work you’ve been involved in, showcasing your creativity and teamwork.
