Community and Marketing roles explained
Player Support Agent
A Player Support Agent provides help and guidance to players, addressing any issues they may face while playing a game, such as technical problems or gameplay queries.
As a Player Support Agent, you’ll interact directly with the gaming community, offering solutions through email, chat, forums, or social media. Your job is to ensure that players have a positive experience, whether by troubleshooting technical problems, providing gameplay tips, or resolving account-related issues. You’ll work closely with the development team to escalate bugs or other player-reported issues.
Many Player Support Agents have backgrounds in customer service, though knowledge of gaming platforms and a passion for games is just as important. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities are key.
For this role, you should enjoy interacting with players and helping solve their problems. You’ll need patience, empathy, and the ability to quickly grasp the technical aspects of the game.
Your CV should showcase experience in customer service or technical support, highlighting your ability to manage player interactions effectively.
