Get into Games Birmingham welcomes 600+ future game creators

Get into Games Birmingham welcomed more than 600 attendees to the Midlands Arts Centre for an inspiring day of careers talks across two stages, 1-to-1 conversations with professional game developers, and hands-on game design workshops spread across three floors.

Aimed at people taking their first steps into a career in games, the event gave attendees the chance to meet local game development studios and educators from across the sector. Exhibitors included leading organisations such as Rare, Playground Games, and Staffordshire University, alongside a wide range of training providers and creative partners.

The event was supported by Midlands-based studio Rare and Discover Creative Careers, making it 100% free for all attendees.
Participants at Get into Games Birmingham were encouraged to leave the day with:
- A clear plan for their next steps into the games sector
- A better understanding of what “good” looks like across different roles
- The opportunity to meet game developers face-to-face and play in-development games
- The chance to sign up for further training, open days, and courses tailored to their interests
Get into Games is an annual touring event delivered across Into Games’ key regions, including Brighton, Birmingham, London, South Yorkshire (Barnsley), Tees Valley (Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton), and Dundee.
