Networking is a big part of getting hired, and with games events happening all over the UK, you can regularly meet sector professionals face to face and get advice and support on your next stage in the sector more easily than ever. However, tickets to events can be expensive and often out of reach to many from low-income backgrounds. 

Into Games is committed to making the games sector more accessible to those that face financial hardship, and as part of our wider strategic plan, we intend to offer free tickets and, where possible, travel costs to lots of events in 2023 to anyone that needs them. 

Over the next two years, we will aim to work with every major UK games event promoter to ensure that there are a number of free or highly accessible tickets to their events and conferences. This is a key pledge from our upcoming 2023/24 Strategic Plan to create a fairer route to a career in games.    

We’re kicking this off with 30x Full 3-day tickets to London’s most exciting games event, W.A.S.D, taking place at the Truman Brewery from the 30th of March to the 1st of April.

Into Games will be running the career stage, with 25 amazing speakers from studios all over the UK and providing an area for portfolio reviews with industry experts. 

To qualify for free tickets; 

  • your parents or carers must have a combined income of less than £35,000 
  • OR you are a care-leaver 
  • you must also be over 18. 

We cannot fund travel costs to this event, so tickets would be best suited to those in London postcodes.
