London game devs needed for Lewisham schools
Into Games will be supporting over 50 events with young people throughout the capital in 2025 as part of our regional ‘Waypoint’ programme to help inspire people from under-resourced backgrounds into games and boost social mobility in the sector.
We are looking for passionate London game devs from any walk of life who are willing to share their story to inspire the next generation - could that be you?
The first major project of the year is in the borough of Lewisham, where Into Games has partnered with Lewisham Council and Lewisham Education Arts Network (LEAN) to get a games speaker into every school in the borough as part of their annual Army of Creatives programme running in school-hours between Monday 17th and Friday 28th March and Monday 28th April and Friday 9th May.
You’ll be asked to deliver 2x 1hr sessions at whatever time is convenient for you between the dates above. Additionally, training will be provided to help you with your presentation.
Tell the story of why and how you got to be where you are in your career, provide a simple taster activity to engage students in a related job task and answer any questions.
To reflect the borough's make up, we are keen to get developers from global majority backgrounds or those with a lived experience of underresource, although we invite anyone to apply no matter what background you are from.
