We’re delighted to announce that we’re partnering with ustwo games!
Founded in 2004, ustwo games are known for crafting visually stunning and beautiful narrative games such as BAFTA award-winning Monument Valley, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure and their most recent release Desta: The Memories Between.
They’ll be joining forces with us to support our mission to make the games industry more accessible to budding game developers from lower-income backgrounds.
Brandon Cole, our Head of Partnerships & Development at Into Games, wanted to add this about the partnership:
“I have long been an admirer of the great work of ustwo games, across both their titles and ways of working.
As a similarly small but mighty organisation, we resonate massively with the work that ustwo games have done to build a company that reflects a brighter, fairer games industry, and that puts the wellbeing and development of its staff as a top priority.
It's an absolute pleasure to bring ustwo games into the fold, and we're all chuffed to be working with them over the next year to further that great work.”
What we'll achieve...
Over the next year, we’ll be working with the lovely folks at ustwo games to forge new pathways into the games industry through the co-development of internship and apprenticeship opportunities, programmes, and live-streamed hiring events. We’ll also be working together to create exciting events and initiatives to make the road into the games industry more inclusive, accessible, and fun!
We will also be putting the entirety of the ustwo games team through our Champions Training programme! This is a year-long training programme we offer to studio staff to help them become better public speakers, educators, and empathetic mentors and leaders. By offering this support, we hope this will inspire all at ustwo games to use the skills they’ve learnt to not only help new entries to the games industry but also support their own self-growth.
Julie Piedrabuena, Head of People and Culture at ustwo games adds:
“We are honoured to partner with Into Games on this amazing initiative, helping provide support to make the games industry more accessible, inclusive and open than ever before. Here at ustwo games, our ethos has always been to create meaningful gaming experiences through creativity and diversity; we are excited to share our experience and learnings with Into Games and the next generation of games industry superstars
Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming projects, panels, and more during the next year as we work together with ustwo games to bring new resources and opportunities to our communities across the UK!”
