Into Games are delighted to announce a wonderful arrival to our family of Partners - the brilliant folks at Sharkmob London are joining as Into Games Industry Partners for 2023!

Sharkmob are the creative minds behind Bloodhunt, a new kind of Battle Royale experience set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe.

Our Head of Partnerships & Development Brandon Cole had this to say on the new partnership:

“Since we first started interacting with Sharkmob, it was clear that they were deeply passionate about building an organisation that is open, inclusive, and progressive. As a quickly growing team, they see the benefits in building long-term sustainable routes into their organisation, building lasting grassroots talent networks, and working alongside us to inspire the next generation of games industry professionals. We can’t wait to join them on their journey, and connect them across London and nationally to amazing opportunities to build the kind, open, and forward-thinking organisation they’re becoming!”

Over the next year Into Games and Sharkmob will;

  • Deliver a year-long training program to studio staff to help them become better educators, public speakers, and empathetic mentors and leaders
  • Develop a games careers and game-making after-school club in the local area of the studio that will directly support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the region to learn more about jobs in games. Sessions will be delivered by local games university students trained by Into Games
  • Forge new pathways into the games industry through the co-development of internships and other vocational routes, as well as inclusive live-streamed hiring events
  • Co-develop exciting events, programs and initiatives to make the road into the games industry more inclusive, accessible, and fun!

Over the next twelve months Into Games will be working with the talented staff at Sharkmob, to help them grow as confident educators and mentors - bringing the creative minds behind some of the biggest games to young people, careers seekers, and classrooms across the UK. We’re going to work collaboratively to bridge the gap for passionate individuals from underrepresented groups who want to turn their love of game-making into a career.

Ben Harrison, HR Director at Sharkmob London added this;

“We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Into Games. At Sharkmob London, we are early in our journey building and nurturing a world class development team with ambitious plans for the future and our partnership with Into Games will support our aspirations to offer leading learning and development opportunities for our talented staff as well as forging long-term community and educational partnerships.

Our new Into Games partnership will help our development team grow as educators, public speakers, and champions of diversity and inclusion with the opportunity for us to work closely with young people in our local area and inspire them to pursue a career in the industry. Exciting times ahead for us as a studio and we’re really looking forward to our collaboration with Into Games”

 Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming projects, panels, and more as we work with the lovely folks at Sharkmob in building a fair and equitable pathway to learning and skills development for the UK games industry!
