Ubisoft Leamington and Ubisoft Reflections are joining forces with Into Games for the first time, as 2023 Industry Partners! Ubisoft is the veteran studio behind Assassin’s Creed®, Brawlhalla®, For Honor®, Far Cry®, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon®, Just Dance®, Rabbids®, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six®, The Crew®, and Tom Clancy’s The Division®.

Our Head of Partnerships & Development Brandon Cole had this to say on the new partnership:

“Ubisoft are at the forefront of the UK games industry in regards to education, learning, and vocational pathways. As both trailblazers of and the first organisation to implement the Community Management apprenticeship, and as long-term creators of brilliant educational & game-making resources, Ubisoft businesses in the UK have always been on the tip of my tongue in conversations about how to do things right. We’re really excited to bring our shared values together for the first time and work on some awesome collaborative projects.”

Over the next year Into Games and Ubisoft UK will;

  • Deliver a twelve-month training program to fifteen Ubisoft UK staff to help them become better educators, public speakers, and empathetic communicators
  • Develop a regional after-school Into Games Club in the local area of the studio, that will directly support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the region to learn more about the games industry

  • Forge new pathways into the games industry through the co-development of internships and other vocational routes, as well as inclusive live-streamed hiring events
  • Co-develop exciting events, programs and initiatives to make the road into the games industry more inclusive, accessible, and fun!

Over the next twelve months Into Games will be working with the talented staff at Ubisoft UK to help them grow as confident educators and mentors - bringing the creative minds behind some of the biggest games to young people, careers seekers, and classrooms across the UK. Ubisoft’s games are everywhere and inspire young people every day to consider a career in games. We'll work together to support them on the next step of that journey.

Lisa Opie, Managing Director of Ubisoft Leamington and Ubisoft Reflections, said:

“We’re really glad to partner with Into Games. We know that showing a wide range of young people the routes into our industry, as well as equipping them with the right skills, encourages them to see a career in games development as a realistic option. I can’t wait to get our team out there talking to students in our local community.”

Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming projects, panels, and more as we work with the lovely folks at Ubisoft UK to build a fair and equitable path into the UK games industry.
