Core games
Core Engine is a toolset built on top of Unreal Engine, meaning you can make games in Unreal without having to create any art or write any code. It is set up to encourage easy creation of multiplayer games. You get access to many Unreal assets including music, sounds, 3d models and other art, meaning you get to spend time on thinking about the game design and gameplay experience. It also allows you to use and remix other people’s games, so you can see how things are put together under the hood.
Core is currently in Open Alpha, which means it is free to use, but still being developed. It might become a paid tool in the future.
Once you are finished your game will be published on the Core Platform where they can be instantly shared with your friends.
- See a video on the Core website to help take you through making your first multiplayer game with the tool.
- There are some great tutorials to help you get started on the Core website.
- Download the tool here.
