Through our programme work, Into Games has supported thousands of people with their career journey into the sector.

We run the largest volunteering network for industry professionals in Europe, one of the most popular game dev communities on Discord, as well as ground-breaking virtual work experience programmes and high-quality industry training.

Our goals for 2022-24 are to dramatically improve access to games education for those from underrepresented groups, normalise vocational routes into the sector like apprenticeships and create a talent pipeline from secondary school into work. This project is a key part of that plan.

We’re building a national network of afterschool clubs at KS3 that deliver games skills and industry careers enrichment to young people currently underrepresented in the UK games sector, enabling a new generation of diverse creators to better tell their stories and find rewarding pathways into creative work.

Finding and nurturing talent as early as possible enables us to tactically support those from underrepresented groups efficiently. With new apprenticeship standards in games incoming, there is also a clearer pipeline from school directly into work.

We need you!

We are strong believers in co-design and want to involve industry throughout the process where possible. Through our courses and with your support, we’re enabling a new generation of diverse creators to better tell their stories and find rewarding pathways into creative work.

As a working professional in the UK games sector or student, share one thing you wish you had learned or had the opportunity to experience when starting your journey into the games industry.

The responses will help form future content for the first ‘Into Games Club’, a national network of afterschool clubs at KS3 (age 12-15) that deliver games skills and industry careers enrichment to young people currently underrepresented in the UK games sector. With the pilot kicking off in June, we're keen to get actionable, valuable curriculum to deliver.

Please join us on our mission and share what you wish you knew about working in games with other fantastic folks in the industry! Post across LinkedIn and Twitter, using the hashtag #IWishIKnewAboutGames.
