Since the start of 2023, Into Games has been refocusing our work around supporting more social mobility in the UK games sector. 

On Friday, 27th September, we launch the first UK Waypoint in London at Lewisham councils Civic Centre for over 100 local organisations, studios, and educators. A Waypoint is a coalition of regional organisations that work together to support a more social mobile games career sector in their area through a defined framework. 

The framework has been developed as part of our wider research work. Based on the direct interview and testimony of over 300 people from under-resourced backgrounds currently working in the sector, the framework covers school-age support and into work. 

Over the next 12 months, Into Games will be facilitating a number of high-quality regional activities to create a fairer, more inclusive sector that better represents the demographics of the UK.
